Friends and I spent my 40th Birthday week celebration at Mare Blu and it was more than I ever expected!! St. John is my favorite Caribbean spot and this house tops all other stays in the past(villas, Caneel Bay, locations on St. Thomas). It was a shame that we did not have more people (we had 6) because we wanted to share the experience with the rest of our friends! The house is amazing with every amenity(we couldn't think of anything we were missing). A fabulous view and convenient to town. We fell in love with Mare Blu and will definitely be back!! I can't say enough wonderful things about Mare Blu! Everything about this place is magical. Twelve of us spent a week here for my husband's 50th birthday celebration and had the time of our lives. This was our 5th stay on the island and by far the best. Mare Blu is perfectly spread out which made it SO comfortable for all of us. The pool was amazing - especially for the guys who watched Sunday football while floating:-) The owners were SO gracious and accommodating - no question was too small to ask. LUXURY- RETREAT WITH NO DETAIL OVERLOOKED!! Mare Blu was everything we envisioned our luxury rental to be and even more. No detail has been overlooked. From the wonderful linens and towels, to comfortable furniture and a perfectly stocked kitchen, even down to the outside lighting! Teri & Bernie did not miss any opportunity to make this home comfortable and inviting. They are absolutely a joy to work with and the concierge, Drew , continues that professionalism during our stay. The layout of the home gives everyone plenty of space to gather and yet, opportunity to relax in privacy if you choose. We had two families with 7 teens and college aged kids and never felt on top of each other or too much in the kids space. I'm just looking over the photo album of my daughter's wedding, last August, and Mare Blu was the absolute highlight of our week. We hosted 25 people every evening for a party where everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We were able to do our own cooking, the views are breathtaking, and most of the guests just wanted to hang around the pool. The Westin Hotel took care of the wedding ceremony and reception but everything else was at Mare Blu. It would be my first choice for vacation or any kind of celebration at any time of the year. We remain so grateful to the owners of the house for their generosity. It was even more spectacular than we imagined and one of the highlights of our entire lives! Since 6 couples chipped in, the cost was much less than the local hotels and we did not have to eat out every night. My family will definitely go back to St. John, specifically for Mare Blu. A Slice of Paradise-The Perfect Goup Getaway Mare Blu Villa is pure magic. We recently stayed here with three other couples(two of whom brought their babies), and every single one of us left completely blown away by the experience. The villa is beautifully designed-every detail feel intentional, luxurious and welcoming. Each couple had their own spacious private suite, which gave everyone space to unwind while still being able to enjoy time together. It’s rare to find a place that offers that perfect blend of privacy and shared space, but Mare Blu nails it. Days were spent swimming in the pool, sipping cocktails made with fresh bananas from the property, soaking in the sunshine. Watching the Super Bowl from the pool was an unforgettable highlight-definitely one for the memory books! Evenings were magical-we’d gather under the cabana to play games, share stories, and listen to the sounds of the island. It felt like our own private resort, tucked away in paradise. The babies in our group had an amazing time too-plenty of safe space to explore and splash around, which made the trip even more special. Mare Blu Villa exceeded every expectation. A very hearty thank you for opening your fantastic house to us! Arriving down your driveway and through the gates into that oasis propelled a very excited group to new heights of enthusiasm. We were in the pool within minutes, with the dreamlike view of the Caribbean below and twinkling lights of St. Croix beyond. Every aspect of the home was comfortable to the point of luxurious and conducive to both privacy and group living. From the well-equipped indoor and outdoor kitchens, the en-suite bedrooms, and multiple outdoor living spaces, it was hard to decide where to hang out, although the perfectly sited infinity pool almost always won. Among many stand-out moments, an image of all the men in our group floating for hours in the pool one gorgeous Sunday afternoon while watching football on the large-screen television in the outdoor tv area highlights the pure relaxation and all-you-could-wish-for ambiance of the entire week. Every amenity you could desire provided in a brochure-quality setting. Dining at the expansive outdoor table and gathering afterward on the covered terrace (before inevitably ending up back in the pool) each evening was the stuff of dreams only to be surpassed by waking up the following morning to balmy breezes and panoramic views of a sparkling Caribbean, framed by hibiscus and bougainvillea. Thank You so much for yet again a wonderful stay at your house. This is our fourth time staying here, second time staying for New Years, and we could not have asked for a better place to begin in 2022. The skies and water were clear and blue, perfect weather to get a tan! ( back at home -Chicago we are getting 7 inches of snow! We have enjoyed getting to go to town as well as use your amazing kitchen for dinner. We have made so many memories here, including an iguana running into the pool! Our time at Mare Blu was perfect and amazingly restful. The main house living area was very comfortable and the kitchen is probably better appointed than your own home with drink glasses, plates, bowls and cutlery for every taste, shape and size. We seldomly went to town and did our cooking, drinking and concocting at the villa. The kitchen and outdoor cooking area, complete with its own set of plastic break proof glasses and cooking utensils, made staying in a pleasure. In the evening we put the kids to bed and played cards in the various outdoor lounges and listened to music or just the natural surrounding chirping away. The bed rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms are all beautiful. I opted for the outdoor showers most days. In regards to hosts, Teri was amazingly attentive during the booking phase, in the weeks leading up to departure and she even called on the second day to be sure we were enjoying ourselves and to answer any questions. In regards to the onsite property manager, Justin, all I can say is he is worth every dime. Justin met us at our boat, led us to Mare Blu and spent an hour walking the property with us to show us all of the nooks and crannies. Throughout the week we had a few questions and Justin would give us info or go about helping us track down what we were looking for. "You want lobsters? I know a fishing boat captain.
