Loved it. First quality amenities from top to bottom. We have stayed in St John several times and this villa was the finest quality home we have stayed in. Great pool that was a joy to cool off in late in the afternoon after a glorious day at the beach. The outdoor room was the gathering point every evening for rum punch and, eventually, dinner. My sweet husband rented Mare Blu in March to celebrate my milestone birthday. Mare Blu had more than enough room for our group of 12 adults, plus our one year old grandson and 3 year old cousin. We have rented villas all over the US, South America and for 30 years in St. John. I cannot recall another villa that was as well laid out and well furnished as Mare Blu. All bedrooms are en-suite, and the bedrooms were large enough to accommodate a crib in one and an air mattress for the 3 year old in another. A couple bedrooms had ample private balconies to allow space for those who needed it to conduct business or simply unwind. Mare Blu is graciously furnished with everything you and your guests will need. Plenty of towels and beach towels, bottles of great toiletries, beach chairs and pool toys. Even laundry detergent for your first loads of swim suites from a delightful day at the beach. We had an issue with the air conditioning in one room the first night, and Teri sent over an expert late on Saturday night to help. We stayed at Mare Blu to celebrate my twin daughters' birthday. We could not have imagined a more perfect setting for a celebration! The villa is a convenient drive to town, nestled on the lush hillside of St. John's South Shore. The pictures do not lie, there are vast ocean vistas available from every room. Mare Blu was amazing! Expectations were exceeded! You often wonder if it can be as great as the pictures. Mare Blu is amazing. The views would make any postcard jealous. The bedrooms were specious with their own luxurious bathrooms. The outdoor entertainment areas and the infinity pool made it hard to leave to go explore the spectacular island of St. John. We stayed at Mare Blu ( 6 adults & 3 teenagers) during the summer and had an absolute ball. The amenities were top notch. The rooms were well appointed and situated so that everyone had privacy. The layout of the house was perfect for multiple families or people of various ages to have their own space, as well as great space to hang out together. Mare Blu provided a beautiful, serene setting for our recent 50th anniversary celebration with family. The manager met us promptly upon arrival and made us immediately feel at home. The villa was luxurious and so well-appointed that it would be difficult to want anything more. The large outdoor dining and indoor living areas created an atmosphere in which our family was able to enjoy memorable conversations and meals together without interruptions. And, the opportunity to enjoy a cup of early-morning coffee on the patio or to swim under the stars in a pool overlooking the ocean was priceless. The downside of this trip was that it was far too short. A week just wasn't long enough to fully experience the beautiful scenery and uncrowded beaches that St. John has to offer. Amazing The house was amazing and we loved that there were so many fans to keep you comfortable during afternoons in the outdoor living spaces, and they have the comfiest beds for the best naps. I have just returned from a week in Paradise! I travelled with a group of 6 couples to Mare Blue in May of 2018. We were a little nervous, being post-hurricane, but I have to say Mare Blu was exactly as I had remembered from my first visit in 2014. The villa is beautiful, and perfectly appointed for a group of 12. The people of St John were welcoming and the beaches beautiful. We took advantage of so much...diving trips, fishing trips, island hopping and of course shopping! My advise is to go and enjoy all the island has to offer. Just got back from a week at Mare Blu! Wow, were we impressed! We had five couples for a 50th birthday. The layout of the home is fantastic. Very spacious, quiet and comfortable. All the bedrooms are private with a private bath. The house is clean and updated. Far enough out of town for the privacy, but close enough for the convenience. Our favorite place to hang out was the outdoor kitchen/living area as well as the pool. We would highly recommend Mare Blu to anyone considering a stay on St John.
