Hi, just had to drop you a note to tell you how much we all LOVED your villa last week. Have been coming to St. John for 24 years, we LOVE the island and must say your home was the best EVER!! We were a group of six couples (family) and we were just blown away by the attention to every detail in your beautiful home!!! Best Family vacation ever. Shout out to Ellis who was incredibly responsive whenever we needed him, he is so great. A very hearty thank you for opening your fantastic house to us! Arriving down your driveway and through the gates into that oasis propelled a very excited group to new heights of enthusiasm. We were in the pool within minutes, with the dreamlike view of the Caribbean below and twinkling lights of St. Croix beyond. Every aspect of the home was comfortable to the point of luxurious and conducive to both privacy and group living. From the well-equipped indoor and outdoor kitchens, the en-suite bedrooms, and multiple outdoor living spaces, it was hard to decide where to hang out, although the perfectly sited infinity pool almost always won. Among many stand-out moments, an image of all the men in our group floating for hours in the pool one gorgeous Sunday afternoon while watching football on the large-screen television in the outdoor tv area highlights the pure relaxation and all-you-could-wish-for ambiance of the entire week. Every amenity you could desire provided in a brochure-quality setting. Dining at the expansive outdoor table and gathering afterward on the covered terrace (before inevitably ending up back in the pool) each evening was the stuff of dreams only to be surpassed by waking up the following morning to balmy breezes and panoramic views of a sparkling Caribbean, framed by hibiscus and bougainvillea. St. John has been our favorite vacation spot for many years, but this was our first home rental. It was beyond our expectations! We highly recommend Mare Blu - every detail thought of for your maximum comfort, and an exceptional view from every room. Our family did not want to leave & can't wait to get back. You will be well taken care of by the property managers/staff and the owners are truly interested in guests enjoying their home. An easy drive to any place you might want to go, but you won't want to leave often or for very long! This is a very special gathering spot for a family or a group of friends. Perfect Spot for Hosting our Dream Wedding The unsung hero award goes to Teri and Mare Blu. Not only did it make for the most picturesque backdrop for our wedding ceremony but our guests were in awe at beautiful and functional the villa was. Location was perfect for the sunset wedding ceremony as well as easy access to and from for our guests staying in and around Cruz Bay. Teri was not only active making sure the villa was in perfect condition for our visit but she was also a great resource for the months leading up to the wedding with recommendations for reliable jeep rental( Mr. Piper's) and restaurant recommendations. The layout of the space was ideal for any situation. We were able to host a 23 person rehearsal dinner with a long family style table in the great outdoor space. My brothers roasted us with a slideshow on the TV by the pool. All were able to huddle around and observe. Then we hosted a 37 person ceremony down on the lawn. We stayed at Mare Blu to celebrate my twin daughters' birthday. We could not have imagined a more perfect setting for a celebration! The villa is a convenient drive to town, nestled on the lush hillside of St. John's South Shore. The pictures do not lie, there are vast ocean vistas available from every room. Mare Blu is nothing like the typical St. John villa (we've seen many of them personally): it is vibrantly decorated with rich color and artwork. Elegantly Comfortable & Amazing Where to begin? Mare Blu is absolutely beautiful. There's not one square foot that isn't perfectly decorated as well as functional! The kitchen (inside and outside) is completely stocked with any & everything you could possibly want...Suitable for a chef! The bedrooms are all so roomy and the decor is unbelievable! loved the bathrooms too...very spacious!! The pool area and sitting area by the outside dining table were our two most favorite hangouts!! The description of Mare Blu for us is clearly Elegantly Comfortable!! This home could not have been more perfect for our group of 6 couples! The Best 50th birthday a girl could ever have!! SMARTLY DESIGNED, SPACIOUS, LUXURIOUS...MARE BLU HAS IT ALL The week I recently spent with friends at the Mare Blu Villa was one of the best vacations I've ever taken. Tucked away in a private corner of Rendezveau Bay, Mare Blu is just a 10 minute drive to Cruz Bay, balancing accessibility and convenience with lavish seclusion. With six bedrooms and nearly 10,000 square feet of space, the resort comfortably accommodated our group of seven guests. I found the villa to have everything we needed, and we even elected to spend a couple days of our 8-day trip hanging out at Mare Blu instead of goin to one of the many neighboring beaches. Among the many smartly designed areas of the villa, I found the pool area to be my favorite part of the house. With a fridge, ice machine and HDTV located in an outdoor lounge area, we had access to everything we needed just a few steps away from the pool. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable and uniquely themed with some of the rooms boasting outdoor showers. We cooked dinner several nights in the kitchen, which had modern top-of-the line appliances and a cozy outdoor dining area. I spent a wonderful weel at Mare Blu. It surpassed all of my expectations. It is beautifully designed so that even when you are inside, you feel as if you are outside. Atlhough the interior spaces have air conditioning, the rooms are open to the outside looking over Rendezvous Bay and the Caribbean. There are ceiling fans throughout. The steady breeze was relaxing and comfortable at all times of day. The exterior living space is spacious, welcoming, and relaxing. It is a glorious place to eat, swim, read, and relax. Everything you needs is there. Although I had to work while I was at Mare Blu (writing and on the telephone), I found it to be the most comfortable place I have ever worked, or ever been for that matter. It was quiet so it was easy to concentrate. The property was carefully designed with the highest level of finishes both inside and out. It is impeccably maintained. It is obvious that the owners strive to make sure that their guests have a carefree vacation experience with the highest level of luxury. Read More...

Our group (9 friends) stayed at Mare Blu in May 2015. We had a fantastic time and Teri was very helpful before the trip in arranging activities, a private chef, and taxi transfers. The villa is beautiful, with every amenity you could want - beer fridge by the pool was a big hit, as was the outdoor Ts! Check in was very easy and professional, taking no more than 15mins or so. The house was immaculate and perfectly arranged for a large group. There is so much space that we all felt very comfortable and relaxed there. The pictures are exactly as shown on the website and the house location is perfect. Far enough from town to have beautiful, untouched views across the island, yet close enough for a 10min taxi ride into the center of town. The northern beaches were also not that far away maybe 15-20mins in total. Chicos Taxi (Mitch Samuel at 340-690-6507) was on call for us the entire time and always just a phone call away. Chef Johnny B (jrbluzbag@yahoo.com) was fantastic and the food was cooked at the villas professional indoor/outdoor kitchen to perfection. The villa has every single thing a professional chef needs, and easily caters to large groups looking for a relaxing night overlooking the stunning views. Checkout was also easy, with a wonderful cleaning crew arriving exactly on time. We couldnt have been happier with our stay at Mare Blu and would be happy to act as a reference for any future guests.
