Loved it. First quality amenities from top to bottom. We have stayed in St John several times and this villa was the finest quality home we have stayed in. Great pool that was a joy to cool off in late in the afternoon after a glorious day at the beach. The outdoor room was the gathering point every evening for rum punch and, eventually, dinner. LUXURY- RETREAT WITH NO DETAIL OVERLOOKED!! Mare Blu was everything we envisioned our luxury rental to be and even more. No detail has been overlooked. From the wonderful linens and towels, to comfortable furniture and a perfectly stocked kitchen, even down to the outside lighting! Teri & Bernie did not miss any opportunity to make this home comfortable and inviting. They are absolutely a joy to work with and the concierge, Drew , continues that professionalism during our stay. The layout of the home gives everyone plenty of space to gather and yet, opportunity to relax in privacy if you choose. We had two families with 7 teens and college aged kids and never felt on top of each other or too much in the kids space. I can't say enough wonderful things about Mare Blu! Everything about this place is magical. Twelve of us spent a week here for my husband's 50th birthday celebration and had the time of our lives. This was our 5th stay on the island and by far the best. Mare Blu is perfectly spread out which made it SO comfortable for all of us. The pool was amazing - especially for the guys who watched Sunday football while floating:-) The owners were SO gracious and accommodating - no question was too small to ask. Just got back from a week at Mare Blu! Wow, were we impressed! We had five couples for a 50th birthday. The layout of the home is fantastic. Very spacious, quiet and comfortable. All the bedrooms are private with a private bath. The house is clean and updated. Far enough out of town for the privacy, but close enough for the convenience. Our favorite place to hang out was the outdoor kitchen/living area as well as the pool. We would highly recommend Mare Blu to anyone considering a stay on St John. We were a group of six couples (family) and we were just blown away by the attention to every detail in your beautiful home!!! Best Family vacation ever. FANTASTIC HOUSE My family loved Mare Blu. There are 12 of us, the house was perfect. It was designed so everyone has space and the outdoor living room was wonderful. Ultimate Relaxation I stayed at Mare Blu with my boyfriend and our friends the week of July 4, 2015. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. Walking in to the house for the first time is (almost) the best part: the expansive view of the Caribbean, the huge infinity pool, and the numerous amenities Mare Blu has to offer will take your breath away. We spent a while walking around the property and taking everything in-before jumping in the pool! Our stay in St. John was the perfect mix of activity and relaxation. We made trips to several beaches, went on some beautiful hikes, and spent more than a few happy hours in Cruz Bay. Having Mare Blu as a home base to return to was always such a great feeling. Couples could retreat to their bedroom suites or intimate porches for privacy, or we could socialize in the great room or in the veranda by the pool. The space is perfectly constructed to allow both togetherness and alone time. reading a book by the pool was my favorite activity, while my boyfriend enjoyed watching sports from the pool( yes- the pool faces the ocean on one side and a large-screen TV on the other!.) We even spent a couple of days just relaxing at the house all day and cooking at home. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare full meals; you will not want for anything while at Mare Blu. We played poker from the games provided, watched Movies while floating in the pool, and made pina coladas to sip while we cooked on the grill. What can someone say who just had one of the greatest vacations of their entire life, besides "Thank You" from the bottom of my heart. My work life and career are incredibly exhausting. Being in the broadcast television business, there are no "off-days". Every single event we do is a moment in time that cannot be pushed back, extended or redone. The pressure, at times, can be overwhelming. Vacation for me has traditionally involved my family enjoying themselves with pool time, activities and relaxation. I spent the majority of my time on the phone, computer or conference calls. Not this trip. From the moment I walked down the stairs to your beautiful home, I felt every ounce of tension leave my body. The next seven days were nothing short of transformative for me. Every part of your home, from the pool to the kitchen to the outdoor shower, allowed me to completely "forget who I was" for a little while. An amazing feat that has never-before been accomplished! Justin was, well, amazing. His smile and welcoming presence on the dock to his patient and kind mannerisms to his outstanding recommendations of restaurants and boat captains was without parallel. He was an unexpected, albeit, welcomed part of the "Mare Blu Experience". It is not too often that I can say I was amazed by anything I've encountered. In my life, I have been at major sporting events, world renowned rock concerts and participated in things that most people only dream of. I find most other things in the world around me to be fairly mundane. My week at Mare Blu was amazing. While I am sure there are other houses in St. Johns that may have more bedrooms, bigger pools or finer artwork, I am confident in saying that none could have a more "spirited soul" than Mare Blu. As I sit here and contemplate heading to California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Atlanta over the next several weeks, it is the thought that I will be returning to St. John and Mare Blu in the future that brings a smile to my face and warm feeling to my heart. This villa was the absolute perfect place to share our spring break with our friends. A bird's-eye view of Rendezvous ay made a beautiful backdrop for my morning coffee and relaxing with a book around the pool. Our kids had plenty of room to spread out, swim and enjoy movies in the outdoor television area. I spent a wonderful weel at Mare Blu. It surpassed all of my expectations. It is beautifully designed so that even when you are inside, you feel as if you are outside. Atlhough the interior spaces have air conditioning, the rooms are open to the outside looking over Rendezvous Bay and the Caribbean. There are ceiling fans throughout. The steady breeze was relaxing and comfortable at all times of day. The exterior living space is spacious, welcoming, and relaxing. It is a glorious place to eat, swim, read, and relax. Everything you needs is there. Although I had to work while I was at Mare Blu (writing and on the telephone), I found it to be the most comfortable place I have ever worked, or ever been for that matter. It was quiet so it was easy to concentrate. The property was carefully designed with the highest level of finishes both inside and out. It is impeccably maintained.
